Our Beliefs
Trinitarian God
We believe in one God in three persons, equal in essence (homoousia), with distinct roles and functions (economic Trinity) yet united as one. They are interdependent; the existence of one necessitates the existence of all (perichoresis).
Monotheism
We affirm the unity of God (monotheism) and reject the notions of multiple gods (tritheism) or polytheism.
Dual Nature of Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, united in one person (hypostatic union). He remained fully God even in His incarnation.
Immanent Trinity
We believe Jesus Christ is co-equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Authority of the Bible
The Bible, God’s revealed word (rhema, laws), is our sole source of truth (absolutism). We adhere to the doctrines of Scripture alone (sola scriptura) and its complete authority (tota scriptura).
Spiritual Gifts
While we believe in the impartation of spiritual gifts, such as healing and prophecy, we do not practice certain gifts like speaking in tongues or casting out demons. We discern all spiritual manifestations through Scriptural authority.
Salvation
Salvation is solely God’s work (theocentric), unachievable by human efforts or merit. We believe in eternal security, assured by God’s saving grace.
Purpose of Good Works
Good works glorify God and are a response to His grace, not a means of salvation. They serve to earn rewards in heaven.
Baptism
Baptism is a vital ordinance of obedience for Christians, signifying inward faith in Christ’s command (Matthew 28). It does not impart salvation, blessings, or secondary benefits but signifies obedience to Christ.
Holy Communion
We practice Holy Communion as it is the second ordinance observed by Christians, rooted in early Christian tradition and commanded by Christ. It was practiced by the early church fathers and the Apostles. We partake in communion to remember Christ’s sacrifice.
Power of Prayer
Although some spiritual gifts are not intended for the Christian church today, prayer remains a vital means through which God blesses and interacts with us. Prayer is a clear and essential teaching in the Bible that we continue to practice.
Voluntary Giving
We do not practice Old Testament customs such as tithes, first fruits, or seed offerings. Instead, we follow the principle of voluntary giving, for God loves a cheerful giver.
